FIRST technique 5 Months ago
I am a general dentist who has been placing implants for the past 5 years. I have also placed over a thousand mini-implants and have used them in conjuction with other dentition to support fixed bridges, as overdenture attachments for partial dentures, and as routine overdenture attachments.

The procedure is so simple and inexpensive and I have changed many lives with it.

With great interest, I watched the youtube video of the placement of a roundhouse.

I would love to do this procedure...but I have a lot of trepidation regarding the long term prognosis of such a prosthesis. In conversation this morning with one of the doctors at FIRST lab, it was stated that Dr. Shatkin has over 200 cases with no failures over a 5 year period.

What does the radiograph of a 5 year old roundhouse look like and does it appear that this would last as long as conventional implants?

Also, what is the technique to place a mini-implant in conjuntion with an internal sinus lift? This would be an issue if an upper roundhouse was anticipated with pneumatized sinuses?

I am very intriqued by this whole issue and would love to have the confidence to pursue this concept and technique.

Regards
