I have visited a few dentists in my area but they all seem to give me a different answer. About how much should mini implants cost? Thanks in advance.

therein lies the rub. it's almost impossible to get an answer on price from anyone in the medical business. rest assured, the cost will be all the market can bear...plus a little more.

hmm... dental implants are getting expensive.. like $250, I'm not that sure but according to my dentist it ranges from $200-250. I've also read an article about transplants. Not sure if its working but hey, its kinda cool too..

I think if you look at the cost of a traditional implant it can be anywhere in the range of $1500 - $2500. This is for the implant itself...and does not include the cost of the abutment(the part of the implant that the crown sits on) The abutment fee is around $500-$650.

The cost of a mini dental implant is around $650-$1200. Almost 1/2 the cost and does not in most cases need a seperate abutment fee.

I think it largely depends on where you are located and, of course, how much your dentist charges. My dentist tends to be rather expensive compared to others in the area, but I have gone to him for 20+ years and am not willing to change.

Do you have dental insurance? I was told that most of the time dental insurance won't cover the cost of an implant because it is viewed as a cosmetic improvement instead of a necessary procedure. However, I do know people that have dental insurance which covered some of the costs related to the implant, but not the implant itself.

I would go to the dentist that I feel most comfortable with. Try asking friends or family members if they have any input regarding the dentists in your area. Also, assuming you have dental insurance, it would be a good idea to get in touch with a representative to see what they will cover, if anything!

Although I cannot speak to the cost of the MDI (Mini Dental Implants) procedure at a given Doctor's office, I can say that the materials employed in the MDI (Mini Dental Implants) procedure are much cheaper than the materials employed in a conventional implant procedure. I'm optimistic that the dentist would pass on these material cost savings to the patients, resulting in a cheaper MDI procedure (versus conventional implants) for you.
